  Thank you so much for this interview and safe place to allow myself to explain my knowledge and experience. Leeirah is one of my alters and is the name I use a lot on social media😅 I hope I have help many understand DID for someone they care about or for themselves. Know that healing is not linear, and you are worth loving yourself💜

  I resent that these victims are often the ones being labelled crazy when it’s the people who abused them who are the crazy ones.  I’m very glad to hear Tania did get to bring her abuser to court!

  investigators asking "did you enjoy it" is unfathomably irresponsible and not relevant information. just completely inappropriate.

  Stories like this are why s*x crimes should be taken far more seriously by the law. Causing so much trauma to someone that they develop a life altering mental health condition should be an instant life sentence.

  Tania and people like her deserve so much understanding and help. Living through so much trauma as a child that your brain literally has to protect itself in this manner is so tragic.

  I am 70 years old my DID was represented by 8-15 alters like you I had boys and girl. I put up wall in my brain to block. The trauma from my awareness.   There are still some years  I can’t remember. The trauma was too severe and I still needed to protect myself from knowing . My therapist was top notch and helped me for 35 years before she retired.  I eventually became an RN and worked  for  35 years.

  When I hear accounts from people who have been sexually assaulted, I am angry at the perpetrators. Their violence damages the victims for many years, often decades. Tanja, it's brave to talk about this. Thank you, Chris, for your sensitive approach to Tania.
