Add a flashlight under the sink and a small tool set. We’ve had guests thank us for these inexpensive amenities.

I’m a retired chef. After 35 years, my surviving pots and pans are stainless steel, so that’s what my guests will find. I am sure they will complain, but they are dishwasher safe and the cleaner can handle it. <br>I have frequently stayed in very nice short term rentals. I’ve experienced three kinds of annoyances in the kitchen. First is small theft. The nice European vegetable peeler and cheese grater are gone, or strainers, or coffee scoop. Second is the lack of a large pot suitable to cook pasta or a large pot of chili for the amount of guests. Finally, plastic cooking utensils. They should be silicone, or I will need that first aid kit.<br>My personal rule is that if I stay a week, I am willing to donate $100 to improve the rental. If I don’t buy kitchen ware, I m buying lights, either string lights or bulbs. I don’t expect perfection, just a fair shot at hosting my family.

Evercare Mega Handheld Lint Roller, I have one in every one of my homes, you can put a broom stick on it and use it for everything. It picks stuff vacuums don't. I use it all over the place after every cleaning.
