His debut in pre-season is legit one of the best I've ever seen, was so excited to see him play for us after that and he hasn't disappointed.

Jacquet is absolute class. Better than I had hoped for. Hopefully Leoni can step up post injury and do the same

Up till now I doubt no one heard of Jacquet. LFC needs more signings like this and stop going for big name signings.

Gassed watching this video, this is very special, I can see him being the DM we so desperately need.

It looked a good signing when we bought him, but having seen him play I am delighted particularly as Iraola seems to develop CB's really well. This year with Van Dijk is finishing school on his training. I hope he stays healthy.

Looks top class already, and playing and learning alongside one of the very greatest in VVD, if Jacquet stays grounded, the sky's the limit

Konate would have remained in his position against fulham. you can't coach this amount of awareness into a player.

If Jeremy Jacquet maintains this level and continues to feed off the experience of VVD playing next to him, then at only 21 years old, I genuinely think the sky is the limit for him. With the physical attributes he has, if he continues developing at this rate, I can see him potentially becoming the first centre-back since Cannavaro to win the Ballon d’Or.

It really should have been Virgil van Dijk who became the next centre-back to eventually win it. But Pickford absolutely F’d him up with that nasty tackle. VVD never quite reached those same heights again afterwards because he simply didn’t have the same pace and leap he had before the injury. When he used to play three yards higher than the average defender, he could catch virtually anyone.

I’ll never forget that moment when he had about a 20 yard foot race with Adama Traore, one of the fastest players to ever play the game, built like a 100m sprinter and VVD still beat him to the ball. That was prime Van Dijk.

Anyway, the quality Jeremy is showing at such a young age is seriously impressive. If he maintains this level, develops properly and continues learning from someone like VVD, I genuinely think he could reach a level where the Ballon d’Or becomes a realistic possibility sooner or later.
