I lived in Alaska and stayed outside in better than 60 below and it was not as bad as described. I guess it's all in your equipment.

All they had to do was ask anyone from Yakuza, last winter it hit -84 below, and routinely gets -70 .

Woa, after putting that pee bottle outside the tent or even unemptied inside it'll freeze in under a minute, then you've got a nalgene container full of rock solid ice pee... I d just empty it, and quickly in a well in one of the vestibules. And have it ready to reuse - easy.
