I’m 36. I couldn’t afford MLBtv for years so Howie was my Mets conduit. I cannot tell you how many stories I’ve heard and forgotten over the years. Howie is the Mets. I can’t imagine getting through my 20s in poverty, in the midst of battling addiction, and through the heartbreaks without Howie. I’m so profoundly proud and devastated. I’m so thankful we got Howie for as long as we did. Put it in the fucking books.

When I was a little kid, like 5 years old, I would fall asleep to the Mets game on the radio and howie rose was basically the voice of my lullaby.

Howie Rose retiring in a historically bad season before a lockout is the most Mets thing ever.

Ran into Mark at the game Sunday, was a shitty rainy day. I drove 4 hrs for the ceremony and it didn't happen. Mark was cool enough to take a picture w me even though he was w someone...now I've met both of these two distinguished gentlemen...

Even Howie was commenting on how is send off was so fitting for the mets. Gave a story about the players stuck in an elevator, just to get to the field and have it canceled

We'll miss you so much Howie 💙🧡

The NY Ranger goalie was Eddie Giacomin. Like Howie I'm old and remember that. I was 14. Eddie was inducted in the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1987.
Great show boys.

31:49 The same fans that want to trade Lindor whenever he has a normal slump, the same fans that believe Juan Soto is the worst teammate ever, and the same fans that will pretend like they weren't cheering for the Orioles if the Mets have a winning team next year.

Nah the biggest I remember as a kid was Piazza, I’m 45. That was the biggest and I thought he wasn’t going to be a Met after the season
