"Don't boil in the pot"

Recently, I’ve seen many CN server players seriously misunderstanding the copy regarding the new male lead, Valko (who has a werewolf lore). Some have even linked it to "break-ins" and real-life malicious crimes.

As a player familiar with Western culture and internet memes, I wanted to provide a rational explanation here.

The developers are actually referencing a classic, universally known European fairytale "The three little pigs". It has absolutely nothing to do with real-world tragedies!

1. Why the "entering the room" scene is not an assault
In the classic European fairytale "The Three Little Pigs," the big bad wolf's iconic action is coming to the pigs' houses and trying to blow them down or break in to catch them.

Since Valko is designed with a werewolf lore, the developers incorporated this classic "wolf and little pig" dynamic. In an otome/dating game, this is just an artistic exaggeration of a "wild, wolf-like boyfriend chasing his prey." It is entirely based on Western fairytale tropes and is absolutely not romanticizing real-world trespassing or illegal crimes.

2. What does the Instagram post "Don't boil in the pot" actually mean?
The copy seen on the official global Instagram account is absolutely not referencing any horrific real-life domestic violence cases! It is the exact, iconic ending of the "The Three Little Pigs" fairytale.
The original ending: The big bad wolf cannot blow down the third pig's brick house, so he tries to climb down the chimney. The clever third pig places a pot of boiling water on the fireplace right under the chimney. The wolf slides down, falls straight into the pot, gets badly scalded (or boiled), and runs away defeated, leaving the pig victorious.
When the official account posted "Don't boil in the pot," they were speaking from the wolf's perspective or joking with the player. It means the player (the little pig) is too clever, and if the wolf is too reckless, he will end up getting boiled just like in the fairytale.

Due to cultural differences, Western fairytale tropes (like the wolf, the chimney, and the boiling pot) can easily trigger negative associations when translated directly or viewed without context. However, Papergames' copywriting this time is purely a fusion of Western fantasy and fairytale elements.
I hope everyone can look at the game lore rationally and not get swept up by over-interpreted negative rumors. This is just a classic fairytale easter egg!

Thank you for uploading the trailers. I didn't actually know this game existed, but I'm a Minnesotan STAY (Stray Kids fan). So I was seeing on Twitter a lot of people talking about how Valko is basically Bang Chan. I wanted to check the trailers out, but the official channel has already removed them. So again, thank you. <3
