THIS MAKES ME BELIEVE THAT NEBELUNG IS EITHER THE GENESIS PEARL OR TGE BLACK SERPANT AND THE HEAVENLY PRINCIPLES IS THE FIRST ROYAL SIBLING FROM THE GNOSTIC HYMN

I agree. Ever since Alice and Barbeloth proposed the idea that the power of the abyss stems from "unrealized fates" I thought the Heavenly Principles' plan to lock humanity onto a certain, fixed path, was the wrong one. If fate is determined and all other paths are discarded...then for every single decision that every person makes (from world-changing ones to insignificant ones) practically an INFINITE number of "wrong" choices were disregarded. These choices coalesce into the abyss. Sure the HP may "save" this reality from the Abyss...but in doing so, they have condemned all other realities.
And who knows how much longer "this" reality has left before the abyss fully works its way in..?

It's a bit silly, but does anyone else feel a little a disappointed when these HUGE lore drops just get casually thrown in. Like, we imagined so many of these things to be exceptionally legendary and to be climactic in their reveal, but they weren't.

I know, I said it's silly to push our wild ideas onto the story, but did anyone else feel the same?

HP helping the Abyss is indeed insane.
Everything the HP does is to fight the Abyss, and for whatever reason it seem like the HP is the ONLY person fighting the Abyss.

Nibelung - helps the Abyss
Voyager - helps the Abyss
Koitar - helps the Abyss
Tsar - helps the Abyss
Moon Sisters - OK Aria attacks Abyssal-Nibelung briefly but Sonnet goes to the Abyssal side. Canon neutral as always.

HP - Creates the Seven Great Elements because they are best anti-Abyss weapons, creates the Firmament to keep the Abyss out, creates the Fate system to prevent Abyss spawning, sends the Nails to attack the Abyss energy, fights Abyss-Nibelung to the point of being wounded, creates the Gnoses and Visions to help fight the Abyss. Carefully forbids the use of Abyssal energy in Teyvat and destroys cities that are about to invite the Abyss in.

2:55 isn't this chronology wrong? The Hyperborian rebellion comes first and after that Abyss-Nibelung shows up and is defeated.

As for the basis for the video, the idea that Voyager was trying to combat the Abyss. The problem is we are told very clearly that his entire species had spent a million years trying to figure out how to fight the Abyss and had given up with no solution. That being true how is it possible that this one guy from that society shows up one day on Teyvat and figures out how to do something to fight the Abyss that his entire species didn't realize in a million years? If his species had known about this "Shadow Realm" technology then they would have set it up on every planet wouldn't they?

The description is ambiguous but what is not ambiguous is that after the Tsar messes with it a little bit the Abyss floods through and things are worse than if the Shadow Realm had never been there. So how exactly does that work if the Shadow Realm is so good at being anti-Abyss? If the Voyager hadn't made the Shadow Realm presumably Teyvat would be doing a lot better in the present day so shouldn't he be held responsible? Presumably he knew how dangerous what he was doing was and did not adequately leave any sort of warning.

The whole idea that two idiots who messed up and let the Abyss in were actually smarter than the one guy who cleaned up their mess and saved everyone is a bit silly. It is clear that the Fate system of Teyvat is the reason why Teyvat has/had so little Abyssal energy in the first place (as Skirk mentions to Traveler). Pretty obvious that everywhere "out there" has a lot of Abyss and Teyvat doesn't it means the HP was doing something right. So how exactly do you explain that away?

To top it off we then get have to fight Goggles and Aksinya to stop them because the Tsar's idea is so horrific. And that's the guy you trust to have it all figured out? Really?

I mean this whole video is just dragon glazing isn't it? You even say it's the HP's fault that the Voyager gets Hyperborea to attack him because -- HUH? And it's the HP's fault that the Voyager and Tsar let tons of Abyss into Teyvat because why? Because he didn't let them finish their crazy idea? But the Shadow Realm WAS completed. And the HP didn't interfere with their dumb "Primordial Human" project. Everything they did was 100% on them.

Your arguments are just crazy. Somehow it's the HP's fault that king Irmin brought the Abyss in to Khaenri'ah? Can you explain that?

The Fate system prevents Free Will which prevents creation of Abyssal energy. Pay attention. That's the entire point of it.

And what on earth is "paranoid" about taking steps to defeat the Abyss? the Abyss that's destroying the entire cosmos and you're saying it's just dumb to worry about it? Explain that one for me.

The reason the Abyss has to "invade" Teyvat was because it wasn't already there. It wasn't there because uniquely in the entire cosmos Teyvat doesn't produce Abyssal energy locally. Your entire idea makes no sense at all. If Teyvat was producing Abyssal energy faster than anywhere else the Abyss would be going OUT of Teyvat not in. Skirk would have said "Teyvat has far more Abyssal energy" instead of saying it has very little. Very little even AFTER Nibelung messed up and helped the Abyss invade.

Here's some advice: please make theories that make common sense.

12:25 this is a fantasy view of Voyager based on dragon glazing. Voyager did not even remember Nibelung. If they did promise to meet him again they lied. We are told that Voyager logged the memories of Teyvat and Nibelung in an archive and forgot all about them both. As for why the Voyager came to Teyvat we don't know but the Tsar's notes say that the Voyager came to Teyvat to steal the planet's energy. And it's a weird coincidence that Voyager's rebellion takes place at the exact same time the Abyss invades. Also when Abyss-Nibelung turns up why did Voyager not say something like, "Well despite my differences with the HP all life should team up to defeat the Abyss which is a horrific cosmic threat to everyone." No. Voyager fought on the side of the Abyss. Even Neuvillette admits that fighting alongside the Abyss was a bad idea. Why does Voyager fight on the same side as the Abyss against the HP?

13:01 oh yes the "good person" Voyager just murdered some kid and stole his body. Nice. People don't really talk about that one.

14:33 "indiscriminately" and "targeting" people helping the Abyss to murder everyone? which is it? is it indiscriminate or targeted to save everyone's life?

I think this just goes to show that @Nekogitsune had it right. There's no one true villain in this war against the Abyss, just the clashing of ideas as people attack the problem from different angles. Right and wrong are becoming less and less important, HP, Nibelung, and Voyager/Koitar all have their faults, but they still care about this world.

Hmmmm….
So what you’re saying is under the Moon, the illusion of control is disguised as the wolf mistaken by the friendly dog. The Heavenly Principles is leading Teyvat to the waters of destruction.

Treat this only as food for thought.

Ever read dune series?

If we truly see everything as it is. Things who proceed naturally tends to bring lesser cataclysmic impact for all things. While the voyager means well. But her first action, warning nibelung is the first act of changing fates. The abyss is not only those fates who doesn't come into reality, but they are those who have been stopped to become reality due to the tampering of the natural flows. Thus, the voyager act of warning is the first tampering, the first point or node in the flow of teyvat changed causality. I'm not antagonizing the voyager, she means well, but tampering with the natural flow without all knowing knowledge always leads to not the best outcome.

Let's see dune, the emperor, through spice, achieve omni scient. He then knows all the possible paths or fates in genshin terminology, even the voyager civilization for all the claims that it is able to traverse time, is evidently does not know all the paths, most of them maybe but not all of them, because if her civilization truly know, then they could guide the universe to its golden path, causing the abyss to become severely weaker. A side tangent, if we compare to another famous sci fantasy franchise with a lot of fate tampering capability which more often than not yield good results, let's look at WH40k especially the eldar, the eldar cannot travel in time, but evidently their seers are truly able to steer fates in their favor much much more than any one in genshin who claims able to do so (voyager's civ, HP, barbeloth). The point is, if anyone is not omnipresent, let everything flow as natural as possible, only if some one is truly omni present that she or he is qualified to guide fates, the voyager certainly is not, the HP is not, nothing in genshin so far is not, even barbeloth is not. Perhaps one of the moral of the story that genshin wants to convey is like the teaching of the dao, be like water, let everything flows naturally.

No, freaking no. The heavenly principles is never helping the abyss, their systems exist precisely to prevent all forms of Abyss invasion, in fact every single nail was dropped on nations that caused or almost caused an abyss infiltration. Yes including Hyperborea, which at a first glance just seemes like a rebel nation like Snezhnaya, but the reality is that the Saint reckless exploration caused a severe Abyss leak in the Shadow Realm that was still being studied in Tsar Beli's era in an attempt to contain it. Just to make sure, by heavenly principles you're referring to the shades right? Because Asmoday is only the Sustainer, pretty much the HR of the Shades. Heavenly Principles is the name of the entire group of four shades.
You're forgetting that the Firmament was already the barrier to prevent Abyss from finding and infiltrating Teyvat. And I'm not just saying all that out of nowhere. Remember, The Hyperboreans created Tsar Beli(it's not a full name, Beli is his name, Tsar is his title).
Anyway, The idea here is that human ignorance is the one causing the Abyss to gain interest in Teyvat.
You can certainly blame Celestia's extremism for it, however, let us not ignore human stupidity and vain attachment to emotioins. Where they kept blaming Cellestia even when they caused their own demise by causing the Abyss to encroach upon Teyvat. Even Tsaritsa's journey of revenge is not fully justified. She'll end up commiting the same mistake, once again. Funny enough, the Abyss Order, which uses the abyss, is the one going about it the smartest way possible. They managed to tame the abyss and keep it under control. Instead of twisting them, they are the ones twisting the abyss. Because the Prince(our Sibling) seem to have the same immunity to the abyss that we have.

Anyway Tl/DR You cannot fully trust what the lore says, because it's written by characters that do not have the full version of events, only their personal interpretations through Bias. The only lore that we have towards celestia, that is actually trustworty is the ones found at the moon, Sure we have the PoV of several characters in their own personal conflict, but they were the only ones so far that didn't have a bias against the Primordial One, since they are from teh time when Phanes first came to Teyvat, they didn't know what to expect and didn't have a formed opinion yet. Their writings show exactly what they saw, and what they actually knew.

And the moon shows exactly who Phanes is, he will fight and obliterate you if you try to attack him, but if you decide to stop the offensive, so will he, and he will even accept you if you go to his side instead. This makes Phanes seem extremely logical and cold, like a machine. NO unnecessary suspicion and mistrust, no unnecessary prejudice, if the other party is lying he can just erase them later, if not, then it wasn't even worth considering in the first place. Which lends a good credibility for Phanes being an AI(not Traveler's ship AI, that theory was stupid from the very beginning)

On The punishment thing, don't forget that Ronova herself explained why normal Kaen'riahns were punished, it's not because of the sins and crimes of their leaders, but because their very soul is tainted with the abyss and will corrupt the Irminsul. And whe know it is true because we saw exactly what happened to Irminsul in the Aranyaka questline. So basically the Kaen'riahns got royally screwed by King Irmin and the sages. NOT by celestia.
