There was a ton of links I wanted to put in the description so I ran out of space. Here's the remaining links to extra info/sources of info. Sidenote, I got the gender of the kid's sibling in Cartoon All-Star's wrong. He had a little sister not a little brother. Didn't rewatch it for the video, probably should've so I wouldn't have made such a mistake. Oh well. Sorry about that.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2IdOh9ERaQ - The Old Turtle Den's video on Raphael Shredder

https://deadline.com/2021/08/colin-and-casey-jost-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-movie-paramount-1234807732/ - article about a new live action film

https://news.google.com/newspapers?id=_yofAAAAIBAJ&sjid=EdAEAAAAIBAJ&pg=6485%2C435940 - Herald-Journal article about the hallmark movie

http://artbrendan.com/portfolio-items/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles/ - Brendan McCarthy's blog about the cancelled hallmark movie

https://screenrant.com/ninja-turtles-reboot-script-review/ & 26:04 I hate to be such a nerd, but the 2012 series was NOT Pizza Face's first appearance. It was his first on TV, but not as a whole. Pizza Face was a character in the 1988 toyline, where he was described as Shredder's chef, who wanted to become "the most powerful pizza chef ever". To do this, he put himself in his "retromutagen oven" but the turtles came in time to pull him out in the middle of the process. This turned him into a "half baked" monstrosity who vows vengeance against the turtles, wanting to turn them into pizza toppings.

The 88 toyline was fucking hardcore.

if there's one thing this video has taught me, outside of TMNT lore and history, is the importance of physical media. so many TMNT games and moments from the 90s are lost to history because there's no physical copy. it's really scary how quickly something can disappear from the face of the earth and its disheartening for fans

The fact that the TMNT 2003 series got season 7 rejected, because there was fear that kids would get confused with the past and present day turtles, is really an examples of executives underestimating their audience.

the children booing Shreder while he bullies them at Oprah interview is absolutely hysterical

I love how you use commercial breaks and actual advertisements to separate the iceberg segments.

What still blows my mind is that Usagi was originally his own character, but he’s become so associated with the TMNT at this point that he’s just considered a “TMNT character”. Additionally, the turtles liked beer in the original Mirage comics and also had tails!

I saw TMNT in the theatres with the late love of my life, instead of 300 that everyone was going crazy about at the time. No regrets.

1:17:13 Fun fact, Garfello was going to be one of Garfield’s Alternate costumes in Nickelodeon all star brawl 2, due to it appearing in the games files as part of Garfield’s textures, it’s such a shame it was cut.

Fun fact about Cartoon All-Stars: Michelangelo is the only cartoon character to be absent on the box art. This may be due to a mistake by the artist or a deliberate choice to avoid complaints from parents who didn't like how violent TMNT was
Conversely, Smurfette can be seen on the cover, despite not appearing in the special itself, which is most likely a mistake
Edit: Smurfette's appearance on the cover may also hint that she was planned to appear in the special at one point but got cut, leaving the cover unedited

I just want to say I appreciate the running gag of listing off an unnecessarily long list of Fortnite skins whenever the game gets mentioned.
