  I haven't played Modern in ages... but I will always take time out of my day to watch Reid Duke play Jund, it's just too much of a treasure.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3g8ZCpmdrTM&amp;t=4497">1:14:57</a> by playing kroxa you&apos;re letting your opponent untap when you know thay have guile/trophy which get them immediately back in the game, even ahead actually, so saccing the land to draw while they&apos;re tapped out seemed the best play to me. Also even if you miss, you still have mana up to activate ravine, so it seemed like a high reward/no drawback play.

  I think in that Niv-to-Light match, you had to go for the win on that turn. Too many live draws on their end, plus their cards in hand, means that if you let them untap, they have to mess up pretty badly in order for you to win. Super super tough decisions, but 5 outs to win is probably better odds than what you had passing the turn.
