Born in Puerto Rico, raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., always admired and wanted to be an NYPD Officer. Now at 55, I'm a veteran retired from both State and Federal Law Enforcement. To my fellow brothers in blue of the NYPD, the NCO's of PSA-1 , thanks for your service to the community and the city in general, take care and be safe!

Like what "pastelito" said about letting dispatch know because. "You may know where you are, God may know where you are but if dispatch doesn't know where you are, you and God better be on good terms."

Grew up on Prospect Ave. My old man retired 72 SGT in mid 90's. I always said its the character that makes a quality officer, not a uniform. These three have great character. Unfortunately, there are many that have no business working in public service, due to poor attitudes, and lack of professionalism. If NYPD improved pre-hire character assessment, it would greatly improve community relations.
