Death of the Pastor’s Wife: Does Adultery Disqualify a Pastor?

Netflix’s Death of the Pastor’s Wife tells a tragic story involving Mica Miller and raises serious questions about abuse, accountability, and spiritual authority. This video does not attempt to address every aspect of her story. Instead, Pastor David Rosales focuses on one specific biblical question raised by the documentary: If a pastor commits adultery, repents, and seeks restoration, is he still qualified to lead a church?

My Dad always used to say that it takes 20 years to build a reputation, and less than 20 seconds to destroy it. Thank you Pastor David for this lesson. 🙏

The Pastor needs to step down and get in front of the pulpit and no longer be behind the pulpit again!!!!

I guess it’s not surprising that the church of Pergamum got a Netflix series. After all, Jesus said it’s the place where Satan’s throne is.

Thank you pastor David, as always for your unflinching dedication to the truth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus. You continue to help those of us who have little strength left in this world to hold fast to the truth and keep sharing the true gospel to those in our lives.

I agree, but I don't think the sin that is involved here is only a sexual sin. If a pastor has committed some kind of fraud, theft, or shown to be dishonest in some way, I believe the same limits on further ministry should apply as well.

Nope. They are disqualified from all type of pulpit ministry. Yes,there is grace and forgiveness, but for the sake of obedience to scripture no.
