I love watching Carl slowly mill one card at a time. There is nothing else I wanted to see.

2:51 The number of times I’ve seen Mengu get thouhtsiezed and say “unfortunately for you, my hand sucks” is surprisingly high

Fun fact: When resolving Serum Visions while instructed to "Play with the top card of your library revealed," you actually show the top card of the library to all players between 'draw a card' and 'scry 2.' This is a little unintuitive, because normally nothing can happen in the middle of resolving a spell or ability, but Lantern of Insight (and other cards worded the same) alter the game rules rather than using the stack to reveal the cards. This altered game rule is active at all times, including during the resolution of a spell or ability.

Even more unintuitively, if you ever take the top card of your library with a search effect under Lantern of Insight, you reveal the second card to all players before shuffling, for much the same reason. Usually this only happens when cracking a fetchland.

I think its kinda funny that Lantern Control is the one deck where Serum Visions drawing a card THEN scrying is actually useful

@Mengu's Workshop i paused the video here at 7:53 to let you know there are almost no other decks i would like to be seeing be not played in this tournament. Lantern control is a classic control format that everyone needs to know even to this day I am always thrilled to see this riveting gameplay (or lack thereof) =p

This match showcased everything I love about Magic. Which probably says something about the kind of player I am.

You were being ironic, but I actually do love watching Carl milling you once or twice per turn. Latern Control is once of my favorite strategies in MTG and I could watch it all day. I love Mono Red Prison, Stax and Death and Taxes in legacy, Terragedon in premodern and Turbo Fog in pauper, so you can only wonder why I'd like Lantern Control.
