You guys laughing at the salt lamp... I asked my husband to bring one from home when we were at the hospital after the baby came because they had zero low lights for us to sleep but people kept coming into the room and turning on the bright lights at all hours of the day/night. Plus low lighting is known to help with the delivery process. Give my girl a break. The lamp is a must!

I find it so interesting that people are so confused about the lamp and some of the things she brought. I’m a midwife working at a hospital in Germany and we have those exact lamps and diffusers in the delivery rooms. Feeling comfortable in a hospital setting is so important.

She seems pretty perfect, so she probably had a perfect delivery too. But some of us have a crazy labor and then get wheeled into the C-section room. I can’t understand a single thing in that bag except for the baby clothes and the pads and maybe the pajamas for yourself.
