1. Your financial situation is a mirror of your beliefs.<br>2. Invest in your own growth. <br>3. Your past does not define who you can become.<br>4. Your job is not the only way to make money.<br>5. You will never save your way to becoming rich - invest.<br>6. Take calculated risks - like investing.<br>7. Focus on becoming someone of value.<br>8. Be a specialist rather than a generalist - choose one thing and focus on it.<br>9. Start before you feel ready.<br>10. Take care of your things and yourself (investing in appearance).<br>11. You are not behind - so stop comparing yourself.<br>12. Use vision boards.<br>13. You only rise to the level that you believe you deserve.<br>14. Choose yourself. No one else is coming to save you.<br>15. Give yourself permission to want more.<br>16. Get your reps in (delayed gratification).<br>17. Focus less on looking rich and more on being rich.<br>18. Start saving money automatically.<br>19. Start investing early, even if its a little bit.<br>20. Life compounds just like money does.<br>21. Make it a priority or it won't happen.<br>22. Choose abundance and practice gratitude.<br>23. The people around you shape your future.<br>24. Prioritize your friendships and relationships.<br>25. Not everyone will understand your growth and that is okay.<br>26. Start a side hustle or stream of income before you need it. They take time to build.<br>27. Not everyone has to know everything.<br>28. Your time is more valuable than money.<br>29. Set boundaries with your money.<br>30. Budgeting gives you freedom, not punishment.<br>31. Spend with intention, not guilt.<br>32. Wanting money is not a bad thing.<br>33. Keep your word to others and to yourself.<br>34. Be present while you eat.<br>35. Say no to good things so you can say yes to the best things. (If it's not a Hell Yes, then it's a Hell No.)<br>36. You do not need to split the bill evenly.

For anyone feeling “late” that you’re not married yet and do not have kids, DON’T. You are better off. In fact, imo just forget about those. I lost count how many times married people and divorced ones come up to me for money because of children’s expenses or the irresponsible ex/ spouse did not want to shoulder part of childcare expenses or tuition, etc. The most annoying thing is that they borrowed and never paid me back!

<i>Specialist > Generalist</i> is actually a common misconception. <br><br>Yes, it absolutely can be beneficial to have an expertise in something. It’s important to develop a strong skillset and to be competent, reliable, desirable, and marketable. <br><br>However, those who have larger and more diversified skillsets in their repertoire are the ones who have the most flexibility, adaptability, and opportunity.<br><br><i>"A jack of all trades is a master of none,</i><br><i>but oftentimes </i><i><b>better</b></i><b></b><i> than a master of one."</i>

#4 is a fallacy. The only way to get these to pay you higher than your employer is either to work ever harder than you ever did, while making huge sacrifices to build up a large company, and to have a significant amount of money into these investment accounts. You’ll need to obtain this money by either being an employee or having your own company. But just because you have your own company, doesn’t mean you’ll strike oil.

Rose this was awesome! Last Friday I performed a wedding ceremony and I noticed that the photographer looked so happy. Her countenance was so amazing! So, I talked to her and she went to school to be a nurse but then started this side hustle of photography. Well she was able to quit nursing and spend her time doing what she enjoys. She was about 25 years old. It made such an impression on me that before I left the wedding I told her I was really proud of her. It was so cool to see her reach this crossover point and she looked just as happy as the bride. I can’t describe how happy this lady looked. Let’s remember to encourage one another on life’s journey! God bless you Rose!!

"Learn to Code". I cannot believe you went there. But all joking aside, I actually went back to school at 36 to learn to code. I spent 99 percent of my 401k, worked 2 pt jobs, got a couple of scholarships and grants. Best investment I ever made. For me, coding is waaaay better than trucking.

Man, i am lucky if i have $20 to spend after my bills each month and i make $30/hr. Part of me wonders if leaving Washington all together is my only option. That or just being homeless for a year or two while I save money. And i dont have any debt besides a credit card payment. My cost of living is just redonk.
