I have been living in Qatar since 2008 and I would like to say that a person has no right to prevent you from taking pictures in public places. He could have just said, “Don’t film me” or “Don’t show me.” That is his right. However, if he prevents you in this disrespectful way, if I were you, I would call the police to teach him a lesson. Even in some places, people prevented you from taking a video. They had no right to do so at all because you were in a public place. Qatar has regulations regarding photography and I am 100% sure that you did not violate the sanctity of any place or person, but in our world you will find many impolite people.
