Thank you Dr. Taylor, for that great and insightful commencement speech. <br>I had a near fatal cerebral hemorrhage in June 2014 and the brain damage was mostly in my back right hemisphere but also some of the left hemisphere also had damaged brain cells from the ruptured bleed. My stroke recovery has been difficult in many ways, both physically and mentally, especially just relearning previous knowledge that was once simple to learn but now is hard to retain due to short term memory deficits. <br>I hope one day that "switch" will finally flip on up there and it will be easier again. If not, my "new normal" is okay , too. Second chances at living don't come around often or with guarantees. Everyone eventually has that "it moment" that causes their life to be drastically different than the way it used to be.<br>Thus life truly is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. I'm actually thankful for my struggles because without them I wouldn't have known my true inner strength.
