  While this is a fantastic setup, I think I would add a few more things:<br><br>- While Smoker would be hesitant, he might initially join as a spy for the Marines, making sure Tashigi took his position in the Marines and orders her to follow soon after to arrest them if they prove to be the pirates he expects them to be.<br><br>- Because Crocus made a promise to watch over Laboon, a promise he would never break, I think it&apos;s more likely that Laboon would be following alongside the Straw Hat Pirates from that point forward. This would also mean that Brook would immediately be able to reunite with Laboon sooner... but, due to fights that have happened and Laboon probably being wounded like Crocus worried about, they might end up leaving Laboon with King Neptune when they get to Fishman Island. That way, at least, Laboon&apos;s closer to the Straw Hats by the time the story will be over or Laboon might be needed again.<br><br>- Regardless, because basically that whole thing would end up the way it did with dealing with Baroque Works and befriending Laboon, Smoker would already start seeing cracks in his plans to be a spy as Luffy is already proving him wrong. Whiskey Peak would play the same and, with Luffy pledging to help Vivi, Smoker&apos;s already surprised at what&apos;s happening. And, by the time the Alabasta arc concludes, Smoker will admit to Tashigi that he intends to stay with the Straw Hats and that he was wrong, possibly even confessing to the Straw Hats of his original intentions compared to his change in beliefs due to Luffy&apos;s actions. Most would treat him coldly for a while (minus Crocus, who&apos;s too old to care about grudges and is willing to believe Smoker).<br><br>- Skypiea would be the arc where Smoker is able to prove himself enough to Luffy and the others by dealing with Enel until Luffy fights alongside him. Also, with Wiper joining the team, the Straw Hats would never try to steal the gold: Not only would Smoker never let that happen, Wiper would let them know that the Skypieans were going to give them the gold anyway as a token of their gratitude before they left.<br><br>- I actually would be convinced that the Whole Cake Island arc would still happen because, while Judge probably would still not make Sanji get married, 1) Reiju would make sure Sanji was invited to the wedding by Capone Bege as, despite Sanji&apos;s history with Judge and his brothers, he&apos;d want to make sure the food at the wedding would be good enough and 2) Big Mama would still have one of the poneglyphs that lead to Laugh Tale (as, despite Crocus and Rayleigh being on board at that point, Luffy always refuses to find Laugh Tale the easy way and the two members of Roger&apos;s crew would respect that). With that said, Rayleigh would join the people who originally went to Whole Cake island due to remembering Big Mom from God Valley. Most of the story would play out the same with one of Sanji&apos;s brothers being the groom instead with Sanji being one of the guests... although Sanji would probably still get to Pudding after 1) still ending up spying on Pudding&apos;s confession to Reiju so he could warn his brother in time and make the plan and 2) bonding with Pudding when making the food for the wedding. Now... in terms of who would join the Straw Hats... I&apos;ll admit that Reiju would stay with Germa 66 to make sure the family gets back on track and, since he wasn&apos;t tied to her too much, Pudding wouldn&apos;t be the option... It would be Katakuri.<br><br>- Now, Katakuri wouldn&apos;t join immediately at first. He and Luffy would still have their fight but, instead of just leaving him behind, Luffy would bring Katakuri&apos;s unconscious body to Brûlée and have her ask for him to join his crew. Brûlée, seeing it as a joke, still tells Katakuri when he&apos;s conscious again while not believing he&apos;d take him seriously but, because Luffy actually treated him seriously compared to most of Big Mom&apos;s forces/family, he&apos;d find a way to Wano and end up joining him there.<br><br>- Also, in Dressrosa, we&apos;d still have Luffy becoming the head of his own fleet, even if he&apos;s not fully okay with it (heck, Barto could still be a Straw Hat and be the head of the Barto Club just like Ace was the head of his own division when with Whitebeard). By the time Wano is over, Katakuri would become the new head of Big Mom&apos;s crew and them follow new rules set by Luffy and the other Straw Hats, adding Big Mom&apos;s whole fleet to Luffy&apos;s and Ace, with his ties to Marco, would also make sure Luffy has an alliance with what remains of Whitebeard&apos;s crew. It would be more of a reason for the Five Elders to be at Egghead sooner.<br><br>Anyways, that&apos;s what I&apos;d add to this.
