  This is the best pro/con video I've seen about Brittany or France!  As my husband and I both say, at least you don't have to shovel rain!  Also, my husband built screens for the windows against the flies!

  I came to Brittany more than thirty years ago, and you seem to have described the pros and cons pretty accuratly I would just add that the Bretons are friendlier than in many other parts of Fra,ce. May you continue to be glad you came!

  I love your sense of humor !! I can’t believe you put winter in the cons ! The lights, the melancoly and the magic of the misty atmosphere are really nice aren’t they ? But again I am only a breton woman with the strong identity you mentioned 😂

  We used to live in dairy farm country in Eastern Ontario. We lived on a wooded lot and didn&apos;t have any problems with flies but the farm families surrounded by fields were always battling what they called &quot;cluster flies&quot; . &nbsp;All the houses had screens but those flies would somehow get into their houses anyway. They used the twisted sticky traps, flat sticky papers, flyswatters, sometimes chemical sprays around window frames but there were still flies. As the flies ebbed in the fall, then the houses &nbsp;were inundated with ladybugs. The families weren&apos;t always sorry to see the snow come so they could be bug free for a while.
