I was homeless when I was in my 20s and had to build a similar structure to live in. If I could give a useful suggestion that literally saved my life. Buy those Milar space blankets in bulk. Lay them like insulation 2 or 3 thick. You can buy them for less than 25$ for 100. It will keep you warm even at -35 F, with only a crisco candle for heat.

Not gonna lie… the open flames inside that tinder box freak me out.  As someone who used countless pallets for firewood I can testify to their extreme flammability!

Ohio, USA. I've been a carpenter for 25 yrs and this was impressive! Good foundation and a simple wall & roof structure looks sturdy. The finishing touches set off this rustic build. Nicely done Sir 👍

Having used pallets to stack firewood, I can confidently say that without isolating it from the ground, it will only be a few years before it rots from ground contact.<br><br>Edit - for those pointing out that he is a "content creator," I realize he is, but he as a creator, he should be well aware that there will be some who will try to duplicate his effort and will not be aware of the need for isolation from ground contact.

A little trick old timers used to do. Where you  have your candles. Get empty soup cans and cut the bottoms out, and then spit it up the middle. Then, flatten them out and nail them up, making a rectangle behind where the candle will set. This not only protects the wood from the flame , which is really secondary. It reflects more light from them into the room. Making the rectangle means that as the candle burns down, it still reflects the light the whole length. A little fine sandpaper will polish them which will add to their ability to reflect.

Even if I lived to be 300 years old (but somehow didn't age past 30), I still don't think I'd be able to be that skilled, creative, precise, knowledgeable, and the fact that he did it IN THE SNOW with NO power tools is just incredible.
