  I swear it kinda feels like they’re treating clients like family members, like hear me out: a family member might be a little more ok with you being like “oh I gotta go for a bit could you wait a sec?” and leaving them in your home for a sec to pick up your kid from school or something. Or they might be ok with bringing their own hair or washing their own hair bc you’re just doing them a favor, especially if you’re just braiding a family member’s hair for free or something bc yea, duh, they’re family. But that’s exactly why this type of service wrong: this isn’t family, this is a stranger who just paid you for a <b>professional</b> service. There needs to be a boundary there. Sometimes, trying to cut costs by going to the cheaper option will cost you more in the long run

  I think black hairstylists act this way because they KNOW just how important our hair is to us AND they know we cant really go anywhere &quot;else&quot;. &nbsp; &nbsp;I find it sad that this is just about the only service where we ACTUALLY keep our dollars in the community......yet this is how we&apos;re treated for it. 🤦🏿‍♀️

  My red flag 🚩 is when they don’t wash hair 😂 you gotta come washed, blow dried and pressed and help braid 😂

  Wig Maker here! Never pay through cash app, Zelle or any other platform that won’t refund your money if you get scammed. No booking site = red flags. It’s $6 a month for a basic booking site and if sis doesn’t take herself seriously enough to pay $6, you shouldn’t take her serious either. Pay a deposit but never pay in full up front. &nbsp;And if she has EVERY day available. Red flag, she’s spreading herself thin and will probably cancel on you once she realizes she would rather have a day off.

  if they don’t do washes, blowouts, trims, colorings, presses, and braid downs they are NOT professionals. Some of these services don’t apply to people who do locs and braids ONLY, but the point still stands.

  I&apos;m with the other girl in the video if you don&apos;t name drop why complain about it...WHY. I would want to know about this person/business so I don&apos;t end up going to that same person or business especially if that is how they do new clients.

  That male stylist. If i was going to him for anything hair related, as soon as i saw those edges, and hair situation, i would have noped out of there so fast. 🤣🤣🤣<br><br>Don&apos;t overwork yourself, make sure you are put together and are not overworked.

  The thing that bothers me is if we’re late, we get charged. If the stylist is late, we don’t get no type of discount…make it make sense. My time is precious too.
