  What amazes me is that ancient people probably never treated history as if it was adored, they just lived it. I do love the fact we get to preserve some of history greatest marvels but think we should do our part to make such marvels ourselves

  An insane fact I should have added to this video: the Minoans were actually discovered AFTER the Olmecs. <br><br>Olmecs are discovered in ~1862.<br>Minoans are discovered in ~1900.

  Like the Olmecs, the Minoans are a truly lost ancient civilization that more people should know about. Both civilizations rose to their height &amp; completely disappeared before many of the other great ancient civilizations even emerged 🌊🏛️

  I had heard a long time ago that this might actually be Atlantis. They said that there was another area in the Aegean Sea that they called the pillars of Hercules. Of course the timeline would be way off from Plato&apos;s as well as many of the details. Some people say that Plato was writing fiction, others say that it wasn&apos;t written like fiction would be written. Maybe he was writing, what we now call, a docudrama. It blurs the lines between fact and fiction. He used Santorini as his basis for the story, but changed the time period, details etc. Many of his details do fit Santorini as the place though.
