  wow - looks like one of the most interesting small cities in the world. Sri Lanka seems so diverse - you got not only stunning nature and surf, but 2000+ civilization, so many religions all living together and people seem so mixed &nbsp;- people from subcontinent, Arab traders, europeans who lived there 500 years, Buddhists, Christians, Muslims, Hindu.

  What those little boys were trying to tell you in Sinhalese is that there&apos;s ship in ocean looks like the titanic ☺ and also apparently the Galle fort is a rare &quot; Living Fortress&quot; which means people still living and going about their day-to-day life inside the fortress. I just learned from a quick google search.

  The first European footprints in Sri Lanka were made in 1505 when Lorenzo de Almeida anchored in the historic Galle Bay where he established the Portuguese fort Fortaleza de Santa Cruz which was later rebuilt under the Dutch and English incorporating a blend of Portuguese Dutch and English architecture today this southern coast has evolved into a leading international tourist destination blending centuries of world history with unparalleled coastal beauty 🏖️️ 🏄
