  If nothing else, these shows remind me that for a large portion of the world, daily life is more of a struggle than I could ever comprehend and how easy I have it, even on the bad days.

  39.00 Seeing Ujjen and witnessing the struggles he has faced in his life has left me deeply saddened and emotionally numb. My heart is truly disturbed. I sincerely pray to God to bless him with success and give him the strength to overcome all these difficult circumstances.   A wonderful documentary, thanks for making it! <br> <br>I used to know two European priests living in Africa (one from Zambia and then Rhodesia, another one from Cameroon). They always mentioned corruption as one of the major problems. It was even impossible to send money to them directly—and even registered letters never reached them. They said they had often many things stolen from them. They also mentioned horrible infrastructure, especially roads and wells, as the money budgeted for their maintenance was squandered or just vanished. <br> <br>The priest in Cameroon (who visited Canada and spoke in several parishes) said that helping local people had to be done very carefully—if they became by any chance a little bit better off than the others, they could be robbed or their dwellings broken into. In fact, the priest said that he would not be surprised to have his home ransacked during his absence and his meager possessions stolen. It was so depressing listening to his stories. <br> <br>Eventually one of the priests, beset by various diseases, after serving for 25 years in Africa, left for Europe and soon passed away.

  I pray with all my heart that one day these beautiful souls are blessed with the basic necessities of life. If some of us can live in comfort, they too deserve the dignity of a decent life. My heart aches for them, and my prayers will always be with them.❤
