  To be fair, UNIS was intended from its inception to be a 2.5 year project group, similar to IZ*ONE.  So their disbandment now was known from the beginning and expected by everyone, members included.

  I feel like the term pick me is getting overly misused in the online spaces lol. It used to mean when women seek male validation WHILE putting other women down or making herself superior over other women. E.g. Unlike other women who just goes shopping and dressing up all the time, I just prefer to play games at home with friends and actually have a personality for once. It&apos;s not just seeking male validation alone. It&apos;s in the intent. <br><br>That&apos;s why Gehlee getting labelled as a pick me doesn&apos;t make sense, because she never put other women down just to put herself on a pedestal and she wasn&apos;t doing it for male validation in the first place. Just because she&apos;s good at catching the cameras attention is not pick me behavior, it&apos;s literally her job to do so and most importantly because she&apos;s the visual of the group.<br><br>So back to my point. I just hate when terms are being misused online and people rush to label people without even understanding the label they&apos;re using.

  I&apos;m so sad about what happened to UNIS. Pre Swicy era, I really hoped that they&apos;d pull a Kep1er and keep the group together but since Swicy it&apos;s been nothing but spaced-out digital singles (finally found their sound) and repeated shows in Japan singing the same songs. I went from being so sad at the thought of them disbanding to now being extremely relieved because the girls all deserve the world and they will never have it under F&amp;F. I&apos;m not sure if all of them will have successful careers after this but I hope they find happiness.

  So weird to mention favoritism without bringing up Seowon who was clearly the company&apos;s favorite and promoted a lot more than the rest. &nbsp;Of course, she was the favorite in Korea so it makes sense. So I don&apos;t blame her at all. <br>But every time I heard people complaining about favoritism, it was all about her. She received the most lines and promotions. So it feels weird to mention favoritism and not mention her when she&apos;s the person that I&apos;ve seen the fandom complain about the most. <br><br>Gehlee was the global favorite and she knows how to grab attention all by herself. That was all without the company&apos;s doing. She was never given any preferential treatment by the company. At least not more than receiving more lines later on, since she barely was given any lines at debut. <br>The fact is that none of the girls except Seowon and maybe Kotoko (as a Center in the Japanese songs) were properly promoted or given attention by the company.

  Gehlee was favoured by the fans but not by f&amp;f. She have the least lines till the end. But along the way we got used to it and accepted it since she&apos;s already so popular with the fans.

  Yeah but the sadest thing for me is also that we failed on Hyeonju she debuted in 3 groups and all of them disbanded now... She was never really that famous also...

  The biggest problem is not Gehlee and Elisia is underfavoritism over Korean member like bang Yunha who are Korean and came from this own agency, but in reality, members that got huge favoritism is Seowon &nbsp;and also Kotoko from Japan, while other Korean members like Yunha, Yoona and Hyeonju also got unfavoritsm. Nana first got favoritism as the face of Japanese member in their debut era, but it shifted to Kotoko in the next era. Seowon is pushed to much to be the next Korean IT girl a.k.a the next Jang Wonyoung but with good vocal, &nbsp;although Yoona also really cute as maknae and cute rapper, but not really pushed by agency as baby of the group.<br><br>Although is strange that they not favored &nbsp;Philippines member more, because Unis is more popular in the Philippines than in South Korea and Japan, &nbsp;Pinoy and Indonesia netizen even have some fanwar compared UNIS vs Hearts2Hearts. Elisia vs Carmen or Gehlee vs Carmen.<br><br>But after unfavoritsm and not a major Korean comeback after Swicy era and no Korean comeback in 2026, then overproud Pinoy is shifted their focus to Binnie that have international breakthrough this year in coachella as their most favored group.<br>Then Katseye is still more popular than UNIS that only have 1 Pinoy than Unis that have 2,5 Pinoy (Hyeonju counted as half Pinoy), although Pinoy in general prefered cute and fun concept over sexy concept or they perhaps shifted to Ahof. Unis have all their need to become the Philippines national K-Pop girlgroup, in the level of Momoland in 3rd gen, but they let it go.

  I guess its a combination of everything said but I find it extremely puzzling why some people didnt even want to give them a chance just because they were young while automatically supporting groups regardless of age or controversies just because they are from the big 4.

  HOT TAKE for all UNIS fans because some you really thought that GEHLEE is the favored member: <br><br>SEOWON and KOTOKO are the most favored members of the group. Especially Seowon, she just got everything, the proper and most number of lines, including the high notes,treated well as the Main Vocalist that she is, she became the Center of UNIS as well, she also has her ASMR videos on UNIS official yt channel, and so much more. <br><br>GEHLEE is famous for her confidence and charisma and it has nothing to do with the company&apos;s promotion. GEHLEE gained her fans by her humor, personality, confidence, charisma, and for being artistic and creative. <br>GEHLEE&apos;S some viral clip were her 5 seconds line, just like her single line in &quot;Dopamine&quot;, that went viral because of her deep voice. There&apos;s even this inside joke in the fandom that says, &quot;FnF saw Gehlee&apos;s potential in singing, so they let her be a back up dancer&quot;, that is because it is mostly GEHLEE and YOONA who got the least number of lines in all of their songs. <br><br>So, to the thumbnail of the creator, you should&apos;ve put SEOWON and not GEHLEE because her fame was not the company&apos;s doing, but by GEHLEE being CONFIDENT and simply being HERSELF. <br><br>It is important to TAKE NOTE especially to SEOWON&apos;S fans that just because we say she&apos;s the most favored member, (which is evident) IT DOES NOT EQUAL TO HATE. We HATE the treatment that the other members of the group has, which wasn&apos;t given equally to the rest of the members. WE HATE THE FAVORITISM NOT THE PERSON/MEMBER.

  Great group, terrible management. They completely ignored the survival show rankings for their concepts and MVs. Seowon is talented, but pushing her so heavily for the Korean audience has completely sidelined their international members. Then, if international fans point out the unfairness, they&apos;re called toxic. In an era where big-company groups dominate and the industry is full of talent, UNIS really had the time to consolidate their brand, find a niche, and grow a loyal fanbase instead of making these mistakes.
