Retired police officer from the US. That job made me cynical and untrusting of people. I avoid crowds. Always on alert to what’s going on. It’s hard o enjoy myself when I’m always on alert. What I’ve seen in my career stays with me. You don’t forget what you see, or what people are capable of doing to each other. I don’t want to go out much other than camping alone. Riding my motorcycle alone. I like it that way

I’m 62 and I’m now practically a recluse. And I’m thoroughly enjoying it! 🙂 With people comes nonsense and conflict, and I’m not interested in spending my time that way anymore.
