  Hey Jeremy, your adventure reminds me of this summers chase the Big Boy when it came by here locally. People with cameras at every intersection, cars chasing on the highways, people standing on the tracks waiting for it. Ahh, what fun. Also, the diesel locomotive is there to provide power for the passenger cars, so they can have working lights and A/C as the steam loco doesn&apos;t have a generator.

  Very cool! And some nice shots!<br><br>I might be seeing or even riding that train in its normal habitat in about two weeks, as I will be spending a night a night in Kinugawa Onsen before traveling that same line to Aizu-Wakamatsu. I have been on the SL Taiju before, but might just go for a second run. And 13 years ago, I have been on a steam trean departing from Aizu-Wakamatsu as well...SL Banetsu Monogatari to Niigata. At the time my first SL experience, if I&apos;m not mistaken I&apos;m at 7 now. Always a fun experience! Though downside of being on the train is you don&apos;t get to make such nice pictures....
