One of the best things about this channel, and probably the most consistent message and underpinning to all these videos, is to stick to fundamentals. Fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals.

These elite athletes perform at exceptional levels not because of these expensive and complicated tools. They are capable of such feats despite them. It amazes me that grown adults still fall for celebrity endorsements of products and techniques, and rarely ever ask for evidence of a causal link between what they endorse and their achievements.

I once heard a story of a guy who consistently won triathlons on a very high level and he said he sat on the couch watching netflix for 6-8 hours a day. Flabbergasted i asked him why and he said with a straight face<br><br>"Well, i need to recover"<br><br>That day i learned all of these recovery tricks are useless 😂

I have a stressful job and my performances and muscle building just increase massively when I am on holidays with the same work out routine. <br>Mood is the most important. Nothing is worse than taking your stress from work back home. You mental is down and you have a bad sleep.

The 3am one is definitely not helping. I had to get up for a job at 3.30am for a year and all it did was give me a bedtime of 1930.

Yeah, cuz we are used to the constant productivity. It is very hard for us to "do nothing". No youtube videos on learning piano, no short recovery workout, no house chores with podcast on, no nothing. Just lay down in the park under a tree, enjoy the shade, have a short calm walk, go home, have a chat with family without news blasting on the background and a million chores dishes, cooking, tidying etc, have an early dinner with healthy food without a sugary desert and a large glass of red wine, go away, read a book and have an early night. I dont think I have ever had a single day like that in my entire life and I am pushing 40. Kinda sad.
