  Bro. I am absolutely fascinated by your channel. Holy crap. I work a construction job and love listening to debates about philosophy, morality, consciousness and such. I&apos;m so interested that have given me a new perspective about Hellraiser, because as a kid it was just a gory slasher. But I saw a clip from the 2022 film &quot;the ending of it.&quot; And it drove me to questioning what the series meant.<br><br>Thank you for these uploads man.

  This a great, thoughful channel and I am happy to have come across it recently since so many horror channels on YouTube are detestable, hideous slop. I never thought I would ever come across another one worth watching let alone one with restrained and reasoned thoughts and opinions.

  I have come to wonder something regarding Leviathan: what if it doesn&apos;t even know it&apos;s hurting those it takes into the Labyrinth? It could be that Leviathan just thinks it&apos;s giving a reward, the ultimate sensation, to the ones who find and open the puzzle box. It&apos;s just that humans cannot bear it and thus perceive it as agony, which Leviathan doesn&apos;t realize it is even inflicting.<br>Leviathan is essentially a cosmic horror entity, like something out of Lovecraft. It is so inconceivable, and its gift of sensation so beyond what we can perceive, that it may as well be a god burning ants, believing it to be giving them a suntan.

  The Doctor also seems way more aware of his human self than the others do, maybe its because he is freshly transformed or maybe because he accepted it so completely, but you can see it in how he interacts with them poast transformation.

  This has also been my perspective on the cenobites also. <br><br>Elliot Spencer was a general of war therefore he was the perfect candidate to be the leader for the order of the gash. <br>The leviathan took those parts of him and used those parts to build the entity that becomes pinhead <br>The cold calculating.<br>The leadership.<br>The want for victory. <br>Elliot’s desires aside his shell was a perfect mold for leviathan.

  One of the (many) reasons I love Hellraiser and don&apos;t really like most of the sequels is how the transformation feels like its implied to happen. <br><br>In the sequel, it&apos;s an instant one and done thing. It&apos;s a metamorphosis that happens in a convenient moment. <br><br>I always got the impression that going from someone like Frank to something like Pinhead or the chatterer was a slow process. The various mutilations being willingly self inflicted as part of that nightmarish seeking of extreme sensation. <br><br>That idea just feels more potent and on theme to me compared to the magical and sometimes ironic transformation it would become as the series went on.
