Now I understand why I couldn't wrap my head around the trinity once I started on my spiritual journey as a young adult. And why it felt so wrong to me to pray to Jesus.

when people ask more deeply about the trinity and the priests inevitably cant explain it, they just say "its a mystery "

That moment when Jesus cries out "My God, my God why have you forsaken me" has always made for me quite a potent argument against the idea of the Trinity or even Jesus himself being any kind of god. Even as a kid I could never quite reconcile that verse with church doctrine of the Trinitarian God. Rather it sounded to me suspiciously like Jesus realising it had all been for nothing...(EDIT: PS I do NOT believe Jesus was hanging on the cross, dying in agony and suddenly thought, "oh hang on, I better remember to quote Psalm 22 in order to fulfil prophecy!" That's a very strange explanation to me.)

Articles of faith should be very clearly stated and not ambiguous in any way so they cannot be misunderstood

As John Hamer at Centre Place says, one cannot speak on the subject of the Trinity for more than a few minutes without veering into heresy.

Never going to get the Romans to switch religions from dozens of gods to just one. This was a compromise

When Trinitarians say “Trinity is a mystery”, then you know they are ‘trained and programmed’ to use that as an excuse to not explain it.

The answer is obviously no. If it was, there wouldn't even be a debate on it.

"O People of the Book! Do not go to extremes regarding your faith; say nothing about Allah
except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger of Allah
and the fulfilment of His Word through Mary and a spirit created by a command' from Him.
So believe in Allah and His messengers and do not say, "Trinity." Stop!- for your own good
Allah is only One God. Glory be to Him! He is far above having a son! To Him belongs
whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And Allah is sufficient as a Trustee
of Affairs. (Holy Quran An-Nisa 4:171)"
