  That moment where, completely gassed, against the fence, he spat blood from his mouth, mouthed "fuck you" then landed a monster shot is one of my all time fave moments from any fighter.

  Say what you want about Rockhold, at his peak he was a true champion. And he went out on his shield like a true warrior

  I once met Luke Rockhold at an Erewhon, a bougie grocery store in Los Angeles. I reacted to seeing him very casually, which I feel he appreciated. I didn’t make a spectacle of it.<br><br>I introduced myself and said I was a fan. He shook my hand and we spoke for like a minute. &nbsp;He seemed very shy but overall friendly. <br><br>I politely asked for a picture to which he said &nbsp;“ the lighting is better over here. Let’s move”. afterwards, I say my final goodbye and he awkwardly pulls me in and gives me a side hug.<br><br>If that is not a quintessential, Luke Rockhold experience, I don’t know what is 🤣<br><br>I also share a birthday with him, which is pretty neat .

  I&apos;ll always respect a guy like Rockhold because he had the most to lose in every fight he stepped into - His looks.

  Rockhold’s most overlooked skill set has always been his grappling. In his losses, he only lost in the striking, no one ever managed to outgrapple him, top wrestlers like Weidman got mauled by him and he submitted Bisping with ease in the first fight. After that, no one dared go to the ground with him. Not even Olympic medalists like Yoel Romero.
