I think you can get a great sense of what kind of an actor is by how much they jump at giving credit to other people they've worked with.
And of course not just actors.
And Ryan is singing everyone's praises throughout this conversation.

The Dan Aykroyd impersonation was hilarious

This episode is an example of peak film journalism. I love this channel already. Kevin McCarthy asks great questions, listens intently, and then asks even better questions. This long form, free flowing style feels more like a conversation than an interview, and that more personal discussion results in more personal answers.
I have a new favorite film journalist.

Dan Aykroyd is an icon & legend who does not get the respect he deserves. Thanks for shouting him out, Ryan. 🙏🏽💯

Bill Murray and John Candy were both in only one movie together: Strange considering how famous they were at the same time.

Your Macauley Culkin interview came up in my suggested videos panel, and I watched it, and this interview was in that one's panel. Good stuff. I hadn't heard about this John Candy documentary before, and now I've got to see it. Is it streaming or will it be in the theaters? I have a special affinity for John Candy because he picked me up when I was hitchhiking home from high school in Phoenix, Arizona back in '81 or '82. He was driving a green Volvo and the back was littered with empty packs of Merit cigarettes. He was the first person I ever saw with a mobile phone, and he was on a call when he picked me up and ended his call only a few minutes before my drop-off point, I asked him what he did and he said he was an actor. I asked him what his name was and he told me. I asked him if he was in anything I might have seen and he asked me if I had seen the Blues Brothers movie. Yes, I had. You can drop me off right here. Thanks for the ride. Orange Whip? He smiled and pulled back onto the road, and away he went. And suddenly, it fucking hit me: That was Johnny LaRue from SCTV!!! I fucking LOVED SCTV! How could I be so lame? Orange Whip? Someday when I'm a famous rock drummer, I'll meet him again and we'll have a big laugh! You know how they say that things happen in threes? Well, indeed they did. When John Candy died, two other men who had impacted me greatly as an impressionable youth died the same week.

Dude, I’ve been following you for years and this is such a logical next step! Long form content is the way to go and it helps us get to know the actors and movies in a way that short form could never. Love your stuff Kevin, I really believe you’re on the verge of something great!

I like your concept. I like your music. I like your bravery in facing your anxiety. Don't let the reality of others destroy yours. You still look so good. I LYSM.
