  I don't see any point in mentioning fares or fare enforcement. As regressive as the sales tax is, fares are even more regressive, and they are more expensive to collect, and there is always diminishing return on investments to try to enforce fares more. And the losses from fare evasion, even if they are accurate (which is hard to measure), are still a fraction of fare revenue, which is a fraction of total funding. So it's just chasing small change and having to spend more money to even do that.

  As a retired vet a VA program provides me with a universal ORCA card. Can ride any metro line and the light rail. This city is great for public transportation. You can get any where on your 9 to 5 schedule. You can attend a late night event and get home late at night. Thanks to King County Metro for all the services.

  I would love to see better public safety support on our busiest transit lines. Seattle’s CARE teams should be partnering with Metro on city lines. I don’t love private security contractors and KC Sheriffs don’t have the capacity.

But proponent says the tax payers should feel so lucky to build Seattle’s transit to be a world class city. You’re right, thanks for proposing a tax increase. Love hearing how the city gains when our wallets loose. Wonder how much eggs will cost IF Prop 1 wins.
