  Here&apos;s the thing people either don&apos;t realize or refuse to acknowledge. 2024 was a creative depressive year. The euphoria of surviving the modern plague wore all the way off, and we all had the mental health and economic damage to deal with that we didn&apos;t deal with in 2022/2023 because the world being &quot;normal&quot; again was still a fresh thing. I live in a place that primarily has income due to tourists, and it was glaringly obvious that people just weren&apos;t optimistic anymore. And when you&apos;re not optimistic, you don&apos;t take long expensive vacations. 2020 was hell. 2021 was holding our breath to see if it was over. 22/23 was riding the high of it really being over. 24 was the hangover of that high. Here&apos;s to hoping 25 will be the actual normal.
