Former audio engineer/producer here, just wanted to point out something fairly crucial that sets things like Appetite For Destruction and any album of that time (and those that came before it) apart from what came after: these albums were made by hand, no software, no pro tools, no pitch correction, not even mix automation, committing a final song mix to tape was a performance of its own, moving faders and knobs by hand. Sure, you could do alternate performance takes, even physically splice the tape with a razor blade to create edits, but at the end of the day you had to be a real band that could actually perform your own material at a level worthy of committing to tape. Other than just how amazing this album is, it was a huge part of my teen years and has been ever since, I think it’s the greatest rock album of all time. Your reaction is warranted and I feel the same way about it. Cheers!

fun fact: Guns N' Roses sings "where do we go now" because Axl Rose was literally asking that question out loud in the studio when they didn't know how to finish the song

I have to give props to Cliff for making sure that our girl Karen is OK! She feels the music in her core and It brings tears to my eyes to see her cry. I know many women in my past that felt the same way. I'm over 70 and still some songs bring tears to my eyes. It is what music should do. Great reaction!
