My late husband knew nothing about the theories and wasn’t interested in studying them, but he was the most emotionally healthy and safe person I have ever known. He was also the most godly and selfless person I have ever known. I tend toward insecure attachment, but I NEVER felt insecure in our relationship. In misunderstanding and conflict he always owned his part and was quick to forgive my offenses. Conflict was rare between us and never lasted more than a few minutes. Both of us worked toward a quick repair so we could get back to being sweet to each other and never felt the need to rehash the issue once it was resolved and forgiven. And he loved me and actually celebrated me so thoroughly and consistently that I still feel his love three full years after his passing. 🥰 🙏 I’m unspeakably grateful for the 8 1/2 years we had together. 🙏 What a treasure he was to me. ❤

Hi. How do you think about the idea that individuals are responsible for their own emotions and the idea that men have to make women feel safe? In a more general sense, how much am I responsible for who I'm attracted to vs. how much are they responsible for being attractive?
