Listening from Hickman tn….they did the same thing Halloween of1938 and had people convinced that the world had been invaded by the martians. It was a radio broadcast way back then but most people missed the first few minutes of the program and they thought it was actually happening! My grandma was in her 20 s back then and she loaded the shotgun and prepared to defend her small children….
