In the US, fans go to sports events to be entertained, not much different to going to the movies or to a show. In Europe (and also elsewhere) the fans are PART of the event; in football terms, they are the Club .. not the players, not the manager, certainly not the sponsors or owners, all of whom will likely move on somewhere else sooner or later anyway. The fans/supporters ARE the Club.

One of the most impressive fan scenes you could find in Berlin Union. They even builded their stadium themselves. Literally, the fans took shovel and concrete and worked there. Impressive.

This isn&apos;t just a sport. This is our life. Our blood. Our identity. You don&apos;t choose your club, you are born into it. We live for it, we fight for it, and if we have to, we die for it

Actually &nbsp;Frankfurt as the visiting team got 5000 tickets for their fans. This is how it is provided by the UEFA. But it wasn&apos;t enough for them. So they were looking for different ways to get tickets and they did find them. The management from barcelona was not very amused that there were much much more german fans than expected. <br>According to a report, the German IP address was usually blocked using a tool, allowing a ticket to be purchased using a different IP address from abroad. If this didn&apos;t work they were cantacting friends living abroad to buy tickets. And in the end they assume about 20-30000 german fans found the way into the stadium and Frankfurt won 3-2. An exact number has nerver been determined.
