Good Stuff! Pliers should be added to the list in my opinion.

I bought my first home about a month ago and I'm brand new to DIY yet I've already fully decorated 2 rooms, replaced all my light switches, replaced the ceiling light, silicone sealed ensuite and kitchen, fit kitchen downlighters, filled plaster holes, boarded the loft, replaced a tap and it goes on and on. My essentials are a wet and dry vac, wago connectors, spare 3 core, Duopower wall plugs, wire strippers, laser level, hole marker pen/pencil, head torches. I have my own DIY videos but they aren't anywhere near as professional as yours but I learned everything from Youtube from channels like this one. I would also fully recommend Parkside gear. I have their shop vac, drill, impact driver, drill bits and spirit levels among other things and none of them have let me down.

Looking forward to seeing the next video in the series. Whilst not a newbie I'm certainly no DIY Ninja... Only thing I'd add is a radiator key for bleeding radiators, and a spare meter cupboard key, because you can guarantee you'll never find the ones you keep in the 'safe place you'll never forget about'! 😂

Enjoyed this. As a fellow drummer, I sometimes feel we're blessed with extra DIY tools: drum keys for radiators; drumsticks for stirring paint; used drum heads for paint splatter, resting brushes, etc, and cymbal stands and memory locks for holding pretty much anything that needs to be held in place!

I'd deffo add a hacksaw (even a junior hacksaw), to your otherwise spot-on selection.

I think it is a good idea to start as you mean to go on......so I would include a set of safety specs and a decent dust mask at the very least.

I'd recommend a head torch to all householders. Energizer make good ones for less than £10, and anyone trying to do DIY as a beginner will have a much happier time of it if they can see what they are doing!

For me an electrical drill that can also be used as a electrical screwdriver have been gold for putting up shelves, hanging things on the wall and so on. Stuff I consider very basic :)

The old design of Stanley ratchet screwdriver was great. I bought a new one (new design) to have a spare as its such a good tool. and never use it because the end cap comes of when you use it. Still use the old one every day.

Always glad I bought Makita 'Multi-Material Drill & Screwdriver Bit Accessory Set' - Other brands do sets like it too.
Gives you a selection of drill bits up too 6.5 mm for wood, metal, masonry
And a wide range of different types of screwdriver heads and sizes and allan key heads etc.

Has covered a wide range of small problems that could have cost a trip to a shop and some guess work to solve
