Growing up I always thought that my mom and dad were a bit over protective. Not letting me go to sleep overs or summer camp for most of my childhood. <br><br>Later on I found out that my dad was a victim sexual abuse. And they were doing their best to make sure that they didn't happen to my brother or I. I'm grateful and I consider myself lucky to have parents who looked out for me so genuinely.

Perfect example of how our justice system fails the general public. This man should have been in prison for life long before this terrible crime to a poor child.

Though "Stranger Danger" is rare, the Mom showed incredibly poor judgment by allowing her daughter to go off with a stranger.

That poor child had to suffer a violent death because of her mother’s incredibly poor judgment as well as the court’s failure to keep this dangerous individual locked up. Thank you for bringing this case to light. Great analysis as usual. Rest in peace Cherish, you’re with the angels now

This is such a sad story. The man preyed on a vulnerable mother and did horrible things to her child. The moral of the story is if it is too good to be true, it usually is. There is always an ulterior motive. Nothing is ever free

I remember one time when I was 13 we had a repair man in the house. My dad was going to run 5 minutes up the road to pick up my mom and he would be back in literally 10 minutes. I don't know why but I just started crying and begging him not to leave me alone with that man in the house. Thankfully he didn't. Some parents have terrible judgement.

It's easily one of the most infuriating cases ever to be documented. The fact that it's happening on camera is heartbreaking it's chilling. Watching him just walk off with her like that is 100% soul crushing.
