  I am a senior estimating manager for HV and first time I estimated/bid the substations for this project was 2016. This project was in development for almost 10 years before boots hit the ground. I bid directly to Blatter but they used other contractors and self perform crews. Fun Note: One of the main factors of Quanta buying Blatter was this project FYI

  My hat is off to all the aerial line crews. I have watched these crews work on jobs in British Columbia and Wyoming and it is amazing to watch.

  Having been under a Chinook, I can tell you that just standing there is basically a full body weight squat, never mind the effort to accomplish anything.

  I was cutting grass one day on my riding lawnmower. When all of a sudden I thought my lawnmower was going to explode from the sounds come to find out. It was a lineman helicopter with a guy hanging off the side above my head slowly moving to the powerline.  Crazy. 🤪. Thanks guys for your badass and necessary work

  The 525kv number means it is 525,000 volts.  The wind turbines are usually 480 volts 3-phase to a transformer at the base of the turbine.  That transformer bumps it up to 12,460 volts three phase for delivery to a substation where it would grid tie at another transformer to 69,000 or higher for delivery to the converter station.  Repeat that process backwards except to have a 120/240 volt transformer somewhere near your house.
