  I played this the night I almost died. That was Sunday night into Monday morning. I have a weak immune system due to having a really bad infection for 3 years that doctors did nothing about, it has permanently damaged my organs. <br>Saturday night I started showing symptoms of Noro Virus. They were weak at first, but then got worse at 10 pm. I then spent 10 pm to 6 am battling for my life, and was finally taken to the hospital at 6 am. Sunday the doctors were trying to figure out what was going on, and I spent the whole day suffering (everything coming out wherever it could) and on IV fluids and medications. I was so weak I could barely walk.<br>Sunday night they decided I&apos;d be moved to CDA when a bed opened. Monday morning I was moved to CDA, and under close observation as every cell in my body screamed for help. I had a fever nearing 106, my legs shut down, I couldn&apos;t keep anything down, I needed a blood transfusion, I was on so many medications I could hardly talk. My head was pounding, I could hear my heart. <br>I heard my demons whispering for me to join them, saw them in the shadows of the room, watching and hoping I&apos;d become one of them. But I kept on fighting. I don&apos;t have much to live for, but I&apos;m not going to let a disease take me out before I get to see my brothers marry their loves. I&apos;m not going to disappear before 30, before I&apos;ve helped as many people in my career as I could. I&apos;m not going out before my cat, because if I disappear nobody will take care of him. He&apos;ll miss me, he&apos;ll always be looking for me like he always does when I&apos;m gone for a day. I can&apos;t let nothing take me out before my cat.<br>So I pushed on. With my few reasons, I pushed through the worst of the illness and made it into Monday afternoon. This song blared through my head as I laid there, watching the fluids slowly drip through my IV, watching as the blessing of life flowed into my veins. As soon as 1 pm, I was on the road to recovery. I got my leg functions back, I was able to hold food down, my fever went down, my body was receptive to medications. <br>Don&apos;t give up, strangers. You may think you have nothing to live for, but when faced with the end, you&apos;ll find something to live for. Even if it&apos;s just for yourself, you&apos;ll find a reason to not give up so easily. Don&apos;t let any gods or deities decide your fate, take it into your own hands.
