To the parents on here, you are not supposed to be their best friend. You’re supposed to be their protector, and if that means that you have to relentlessly say no then you do that to keep them safe and one day they will thank you for it.

There should never be a "dating site" for minors. Kids go to school and are able to become involved in extracurricular activities sponsored by their schools, churches and their communities.

Parents being parents is the answer to all of this. Children have been in danger from human predators for as long as mankind has been in existence. Parents need to give them the protections they need by way of example, until they are able to fend for themselves. It is the way it has always been, and always will be.

16 yr old here. If giving up social media and video games meant children wouldn't be at risk, I'd do it in a heartbeat. That should be a normal opinion.

I remember when I was a kid, Facebook was just for adults. Why is social media in the reach of kids? Parents really need to step up and parent their kids and protect them. These companies and governments for sure aren't doing it.
