  One big thing that&apos;s recommended when installing grab bars on direct-to-stud mounted tub/shower surrounds is to fill part of the cavity behind the grab bar with spray foam. &nbsp; The surround material is thin &amp; &nbsp;there is empty space behind it even at the stud locations, so even though your anchors would be more than strong enough to fasten the grab bar to the surround, the surround material itself will still flex when the grab bars are used which can cause cracking or breaking over time. &nbsp;Once the expanding foam is cured you have a waterproof seal behind your grab bar &amp; a rigid substrate that fills the space preventing that thin surround material to flex when the grab bars are used. &nbsp;It doesn&apos;t look like this is that type of surround, &nbsp;I just thought I&apos;d share anyway. &nbsp;Hope it helps!<br><br>Great video BTW. &nbsp;Thanks for sharing!

  I would say after drilling hole in the shower surround. Recommend squeezing a small amount of silicone in the holes to help seal from water or moisture before installing grab bars. Great video! 👍🏽

  Regarding using a fish tape, I&apos;d recommend wrapping the tip in electrical tape to make it resenble a Q-tip. It wont snag on anything.
