  I find that the Golden Rule kicks in very easily here. Can you imagine wishing people who could afford cable and cars had donated more to fight Alzeimer&apos;s before you needed an intervention?<br><br>It&apos;s even easier to be proactive if you realize a portion of your loved ones are at serious risk. You <b>will</b> want effective interventions to be off-patent asap. &nbsp;Donations speed that process

  My theology group did a lot of reading on death a couple of years ago. &nbsp;Though death is very much an enemy, there are times when death is a friend for the believer. &nbsp;I agree with those below who say Thiel is terrified of death.

  Thiel promotes the scarcity theory of poverty, and Wright rightly points out that the only scarcity involved in global poverty is a scarcity of goodwill and fairness.

  The early church fathers widely held that death was a mercy imposed by God to keep us from immortalizing sin. I&apos;m with Wright that we ought to do what we can to keep people healthy, but that extending this life forever is not the ultimate goal.
