9:10
one key feature is missing from this image
the metal arm cuff would detach from the alarm. in situations with actual fires, this lets the person escape to then be unlocked later. but if someone tries to pull it as a prank, the authorities would know who did it

so i found out some information about the whole fiberglass bed thing apparently most beds used fiberglass in their construction around 2007 as a fire resistant material to protect the person on the bed however that was changed and even zinus changed their beds to have a carbon-rayon sleeve instead of using fiberglass and that fiberglass is probably illegal to use in a bed these days do to issues like op said maybe they got the mattress cause zinus had extra stock they didn’t want to trash and sell off instead but that’s very irresponsible and i wouldn’t buy a mattress from them regardless of the price and i would suggest that everyone else doesn’t buy one from them either

3:25 yeah the general rule for disabled people in a fire is "leave them to be rescued" or "someone else will handle it". Emergency stairs are not made with wheelchair or crutch users in mind. I think the closest I've seen to an accessible emergency staircase is one with a flat section just wide enough for a standard hospital chair... at the same downward slope as the stairs. You'd have to have the arms of a Greek God to use it properly.

About the death slide with the loop on the end, one of the test dummies sent down it was LITERALLY decapitated, and it still opened.

8:21 you know, at first glance with no context, I'd think somebody had an older pet that liked to look out the window, but age was taking its toll, so they cant jump up, so little stairs were needed to get them back in their favorite spot.

For the people complaining about duplicates it's ALL of the subreddit, meaning all the videos that ever covered it. Some of these videos are months or even years apart. Along with that there is always different commentary for the duplicates so of course it won't be edited out.

if you have a BASEMENT APARTMENT in LONDON that you're ACCESSING THROUGH A WINDOW and you don't decorate the crap-ola out of it to make it hobbit, faerie and/or Peter Pan themed, then like... what are you even doing. its a ridiculous living situation but it does allow for some serious whimsy

Big thing about the baby cages, they were used because tuberculosis was a big threat, alongside other rampant viral disease which would kill newborns and infants, so the idea was to use the cage to get them fresh air because it would help prevent those diseases.

As soon as widespread vaccinations started they quickly fell out of style.

Super neat to listen to Robin react to the same things twice with only slight variations!

At 28:32, this is in fact not inside a boat, but an NYC apartment that goes for $3000 a month, no joke.
