  The craziest thing about just how strong Kabal is is that in the actual story, he&apos;s only <b>barely</b> higher than a jobber.

  I remember a jmcrofts video that argued that Chun-Li is high-tier in almost every Street Fighter game not because she&apos;s overtuned, but because her fundamental tools are so well-suited for the game Street Fighter is that she&apos;s always going to be good.<br><br>I think that&apos;s the same with Kabal. Kabal&apos;s tools are so perfect for Mortal Kombat that he&apos;s always going to be good in them.

  It&apos;s very ironic how Armageddon is the one and only game Kabal was considered weak when that game was full of characters that had really busted tools

  I have been waiting for this for years. Kabal is one of my favorite characters in all of fighting game history, and him being top tier is just icing on the cake.

  Kabal&apos;s consistency across games in Mortal Kombat is almost like that of Garchomp in competitive singles pokemon except Kabal never got banned. The worst he&apos;s ever been is a great sleeper pick at the highest level of play

  Well, question answered, Kabal was never low tier. Funny thing that people forget about the Mk11 incarnation, especially in regard to Nomad Dash cancel, is that all his strings are safe and have no gaps - not a lot of need to spend meter for confirms/block safety when you can&apos;t be punished normally anyway. Also funny because flawless block was supposed to be (and is, if you&apos;re good enough to use it) the big defensive mechanic in MK11, and here&apos;s a character who has no gaps to flawless block.
