I learnt young living of grid my parents used to put large flat on our wooden stove, warm them up then wrap them in old cloths and tuck them warmed rocks into our beds one at our feet and one up by our tummy’s never woke up cool ever. True off grid living. No need to buy any thing just using your smarts and natures bounty.

Sometimes we used hot bricks wrapped in flannel or a light towel to keep us warm in bed, especially feet and near hands. I'm almost 80 years old now. Thanks for the reminder.
