I love that bit from comedian George Carlin <br>He was talking about spray on mold remover<br>he said<br>" The instructions suggest using in a well ventilated area, well if the area was well ventilated, you wouldn't have mold !"

I have a couple of stories. One movie night, I was making popcorn in the microwave & hit the "popcorn" setting twice. I'd done this before with no consequence...however, within 4 minutes, I'd set off every smoke detector in my home, & pulled a block of charcoal out of the microwave. The inside was coated with residue. On the box, at the bottom, it said, "Do NOT use the popcorn setting." I was able to superglue a broken molar together; it lasted 2 weeks & I had to go to the dentist anyway to get a crown. Hhe may have been able to mend the broken tooth if I hadn't played dentist. I had the best laugh of the year watching these. Nice to know I'm not alone. Thanks!!

Water and Electricity - when I was a teenager, our basement would flood during heavy rains. We had a sump pump to keep it, if not dry, at least empty of water. I went down into the basement and found the sump pump became unplugged. The outlet that it had been plugged into was just hanging from the ceiling by the wires. I bet you can see where this is going. Standing in 3 inches of water, I reached up and grabbed the outlet by the sides right on the two live wires. I was fortunate that the electrocution caused my muscles to immediately contract which caused my arm to yank downward breaking the circuit. I learned my lesson. I did manage to get it properly plugged in to drain the standing water in the cellar.

Almost 30 years ago now, my children used a high chair with a label, “DO NOT use as a car seat”, on it. 🤨 I should probably mention that the seat adjusted up and down the legs. Until kids started falling if it wasn’t latched properly. Eventually, they recalled the handle on the back of the seat so it sat in one stable position. Why anyone would ever think to use a high chair as a car seat is beyond me!

I was 9. I didn't even know the name was 'damper'. I just knew the very basics of what it did and I knew it had to be open (and I had to remind my dad and pyromaniac sister) to open it first.<br><br>Adults do not have a valid excuse not to use it.<br><br>My former boss allowed a co-worker to use a propane-powered heater on a rug that was so old, it was a solid block of rease and gum. Imagine being a janitor less afraid of when people put the ammonia and bleach and ammonia together with loose caps, because they wanted to fit their sandwich into the tool supply cabinet than your boss giving other persk to coworkers.<br><br>Also, sometimes you ARE supposed to put the cardboard in with the pizza. What you are NOT supposed to keep is the plastic.<br><br>Last: it's actually recommended to put your shoes in a dryer with towels. Just don't turn the heat on.

No. 46. Absolutely false! You check transmission fuild when the vehicle is properly warmed up and while running.<br>Now if you had said the coolant had to be cold when checking or adding more, absolutely yes. Unless you want a quick trip to the burn unit at your local hospital.

I once tried to prove that us males can multi-task (bad idea, I know that now). I was carrying on a conversation with my wife, who was in the next room, while reading a book on my Kindle and at same time microwaving some frozen rolls. I realised something was wrong when I noticed a horrible smell and saw the still frozen rolls sitting on the counter while the microwave was happily chugging away melting the Kindle. My wife, bless her, wet herself laughing when she saw the aftermath. These days I stick to one task at a time, it's cheaper!

#4 - In the 70’s, my grandmother thought she was helping my aunt. My friends and I were stopping by on a road trip, when we knocked on the door, we were met with a wall of suds. I’ll never forget that day and will never even think of using dish soap in a dishwasher.

Despite my advice my widowed mother hired a pair of fly-by-night workmen to repaint her sun deck. Cedar stain was called for but they mixed red paint with white paint. The deck started out barn red but turned Pepto Bismol pink within days.
