Mr. Larson is the best author of our time. All based on historical documents, he creates scenes so vivid, one feels as if one is actually present in that place and time. If you like WW2 history, &nbsp;I recommend &apos; The Splendid and the Vile&apos;. I think it&apos;s Larsons best book, and will make the reader feel very present in the moment, and not just reading facts about the war. The Audiobook is especially great to listen to, narrated by John Lee. <br>That being said, I would recommend ALL of Larsons books, especially if one finds typical historical works boring. His works should be required reading in all high schools.

“… it was what I learned about what people thought of Hitler in these early days [1933-1934].” Malignant thuggishness.” Honestly, the parallels to today are startling.

It would be very interesting to hear from Erik now if he sees any foreboding parallels between Hitler and Trump/Musk.
