  I may not have a problem with a ghost, but to heat such a place, keep it clean, keep it up, and what not... wow, you need a lot more money then just what it costs to buy that.

  How do they think that “everyone” can afford many of these houses? They aren’t bargains by any stretch of the imagination.

  Grand old houses look nice but living in one is a different story. I lived in a house built before the civil war. Long dark hallways, empty rooms, sudden cold drafts. Relationship of 6 years broke up and pets died without explanation. 😮

  As an inhabitant of a haunted medieval Dutch castle 🏰 I can assure everyone you get used to it and it isn’t that bad. I would never ever leave this castle and stay here for ever 🖤

  I have lived in two homes that were haunted. &nbsp;The first one was a duplex built at the turn of the Century (1900). My MIL lived downstairs, and my family lived upstairs. &nbsp;There were two spirits in the upstairs unit, a man and a woman. &nbsp;My daughter and I actually heard the woman humming a tune one day. &nbsp;No, there were no TVs or radios on, and neither was it coming from outside. &nbsp;We would also hear a man walking around. &nbsp;The first time I heard it, I thought that it was my husband because he wears cowboy boots, and it sounded like him when he walked. &nbsp;My daughter had her own experiences at night. &nbsp;She was epileptic, and she would sometimes hear a man and woman softly whispering near her and caressing her forehead like I did when she would start having seizures. &nbsp;Our second house was built in the 1880s. &nbsp;We had 2 pairs of guardian spirits (2 African-American couples). &nbsp;We never felt threatened or anything from these guardians. &nbsp;Before we started working on the house (a combination of restoration and renovation), I spoke out loud about our intentions for the house, which were to restore it close to how it looked when they were on the physical plane, and if they would please not bother the contractors. &nbsp;The contractors were able to finish up within a year.
